  • Culture & Communications Working Party
Chaired by Professor Judi Walker, CEO of the Rural Clinical School and Deputy Chair of Academic Senate

This working party was responsible for developing mechanisms to improve communication processes at the University. More challengingly, it was also charged with identifying means of developing a more supportive, inclusive culture; this would involve addressing issues highlighted in the Your Voice @ UTAS survey such as the desire for greater collegiality, consultation and collective input into decision making, the wish to ground UTAS’ activities on a more explicit conception of institutional values and a stronger ethical base, and the perceived erosion of trust within the institution.

This working party was responsible for developing proposals to address issues related to the University’s information technology infrastructure, particularly to support teaching and learning and cross-campus communications.
